You’ll receive a booking link to complete your reservation with a $100 non-refundable booking fee.

3. Style

Browse the client wardrobe and prop catalog, choose your favorites, and pay your remaining session balance.

4. Select

View your private proofing gallery and select the images you’d like professionally edited.

5. Enjoy

Receive your finished gallery to download your images, share them with loved ones, and order beautiful heirloom prints and artwork.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I book my newborn session?

Newborn sessions are best reserved during pregnancy so your due date can be placed on the studio calendar. Once your baby arrives, we will confirm the final session date.

What age is best for newborn portraits?

Newborn sessions are ideally photographed within first two weeks after birth, when babies are usually sleepier and curl naturally into newborn poses. Older newborns may still be photographed, although posing and setup options can vary.

What if my baby arrives earlier or later than expected?

That is completely normal. Your due date simply reserves space on the calendar. Contact the studio after your baby is born, and we will arrange the final session date based on your recovery and the baby’s arrival.

What if I need to reschedule?

Contact the studio as soon as possible. Newborn sessions need to move because of delivery dates, recovery, illness, or medical needs. Rescheduling is handled according to studio availability and the book policy.

What if my baby does not sleep?

Your baby does not need to sleep for the entire session. Awake expressions can be beautiful too. The session will be gently adjusted to your baby’s comfort, temperament, and needs.

Do I need to bring anything to the session?

Please bring your usual feeding supplies, diapers, wipes, a pacifier when used, and anything your baby may need for comfort. The studio provides the wraps, outfits, props, and accessories used in the session.

What should I avoid before the session?

Avoid scheduling other appointments or activities on the same day so you and your baby can arrive calm and unhurried. If you breastfeeding, avoid trying new or unusual foods right before the session, especially anything you already know may upset you or your baby.

Also avoid:

Tight clothing that may leave marks on your baby’s skin
Lotions or oils immediately before the session
Allowing your baby to become overly tired before arrival
Making major changes to your baby’s feeding routine
Bringing a large group of visitors unless they are paricipating
Scheduling vaccinations or other stressful appointments that day

Dress your baby in something loose and easy to remove, and allow extra travel time so the session can begin peacefully.

Can I choose which images are edited?

Yes. After the session, you will receive a private proofing gallery and select the images you would like professionally edited.

Can I purchase additional images?

Yes. Additional images are available for $100 per set of 10 images or $25 per image when purchasing fewer than 10.

When will I receive my images?

Your completed gallery will be delivered electronically within 5-7 days after your image selections are submitted.

What time do newborn sessions begin?

Newborn sessions begin at 11:00 a.m. Please arrive on time so we can follow the planned schedule and give your baby plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and posing.

Can I choose the colors, theme, and props?

Yes. Once your booking fee is paid, you will receive access to the online catalog, where you can choose your preferred colors, theme, outfits, and props from the comfort of your home.

Can parents and siblings be included?

Parents and siblings are included with the Deluxe Package. Family and sibling portraits are photographed at the beginning of the session.

Please arrange for another family member or caregiver to take older children home once their portraits are complete. This allows the studio to remain calm and quiet while the newborn portion of the session continues.

What should parents and siblings wear?

Simple neutral clothing photographs beautifully with newborn style. White, cream, beige, tan, soft gray, and muted natural tones are recommended. Avoid bright colors, large logos, and busy patterns.

Can grandparents be included in the session?

Yes. Grandparents may be added to the Deluxe Package for $25 per person when the package already includes five immediate family members. Please let the studio know in advance so enough time can be planned for the family portraits.

Grandparent and family photographs will be completed at the beginning of the session. Afterward, please arrange for grandparents and older children to leave with another family member or caregiver so the newborn portion can continue in a calm, quiet environment.

Can pets be included in the session?

At this time, my studio is pet-free, so pets are not permitted during sessions.

Why does a newborn session cost more than other sessions?

Newborn sessions require more time, preparation, and specialized care than most portrait sessions. Each session is planned around your baby’s feeding, soothing, sleep, and comfort, with plenty of time allowed for breaks.

The price also includes professional newborn posing, carefully prepared wraps, outfits, props, studio sanitation, customized styling, and detailed hand-editing of every selected image. Most importantly, your baby is photographed slowly and safety-never rushed.

Can I bring friends or additional family members to the session?

Because the studio is small and a calm environment is important for newborn safety and comfort, no more than two adults may remain in the studio during the session. Please arrange childcare or transportation for anyone who is not being photographed.

After booking, you will receive access to an online catalog where you can comfortably choose your favorite colors, outfits, and props from home. You can also personalize your collection with exclusive options such as a custom birth announcement, digital composite portrait, newborn heirloom portraits, and the signature Grow With Me and Watch Me Grow collections.

The experience is thoughtfully planned for the whole family, too-including studio wardrobe options for Mom and a game room where Dad can relax during the baby-only portion of the session.

How do I book a newborn session?

Click the reservation link and submit your preferred session date. If the date is available, you will receive a separate booking link to pay the $100 non-refundable booking fee.

Once the booking fee is received, your session will be officially reserved and you will receive access to the online catalog, where you can review your remaining balance and select your preferred colors, outfits, and props.
